Celebrating Assisted Living
October 16, 2012 (Monroe, NC) ─ Woodridge, a DePaul Senior Living Community, celebrated National Assisted Living week in September with a craft show. Art and handiwork of residents, staff and family were on display including the beaded vase that caught resident Dee Street’s eye.
Pictured here, Memory Care Activities Director Meshell Blakeney shows residents Dee Street and Vera Robinson some crafts made by Woodridge Memory Care residents.
“The craft show was an opportunity to showcase the talents of all ages,” said Activities Director Lisa Fago.
In addition, Woodridge staff helped residents celebrate National Assisted Living Week with line dancing and there was live music entertainment throughout the week. For more information about Woodridge, please contact Administrator Stephanie Yow at (704) 225-0011.

How to be a savvy auto repair shopper.
There are many auto repair shops out there and each shop hopes their efforts are profitable. Sometimes the quest for profit can lead to dishonest practices to squeeze every possible penny from the consumer. But fear not, there ARE honest shops out there and plenty of them, you just need to know what to look for.
3) You are always free to get a second opinion. If you are suspicous of a repair or think the suggested repair is overkill, you DO NOT have to have it done right then and there! You are always able to get a second opinion. If you leave the shop without doing the repair, you may be liable for any inspection or diagnostic fees, but if the first shop really did "oversell" on the job, it would be money well spent!
At Autohaus Lake Norman we are up front with all repairs. In the event that we do make a reccomendation you were previously unaware of, we will gladly show you the components in question. We also save all parts removed until after you pick your vehicle up, so you can see the failed/worn out components. We will go over your bill with you so that you know exactly what you pay for. If you are unsure of any reccomendations from your current shop, we will gladly give you a professional second opinion.
