Obama deems Viability as "alive". What of those already alive but not "viable"?
What about children who are born with severe disabilities who need oxygen, heart monitors, or who cannot feed themselves.? Are they not citizens deserving of equal protection under the law? Or what of people in comas, or with alzheimers that can't feed themselves, or MS, or Parkinsons, or Lou Gherigs????
Obama would say no, because his position is that someone who is born, but is not viable is not worthy of equal protection and the right to medical assistance because they are not a person under the Constitution. This is his reasoning. And people wonder why they question his character!!!!!!
In Obama's reasoning, these people are not children and should not be afforded Equal Protection under the Constitution.
Look out if you are: Born Alive but not "viable" , but also if you are any of the following
Very Premature
Severely Disabled
In a Coma
Severely Injured
Have a pacemaker which keeps your heart beating
On Dialysis so you don't die
Taking drugs so as not to die from a deadly disease
Unable to feed yourself
blind, deaf, and mute
have severe deformities that limit your self-sustenance...
Following Obama's legal reasoning, these people are born alive and are not "viable" or people under the law.
After reading President-Elect Obama's postion on what constitutes a person and amplifying his position to its fullest extent, can you name one historical leader who shared the same views on "viability"?
I can.
It was Nazi Eugenics that declared such people as "life unworthy of life."
Time to look past the smiles.
