Public Swimming in Lake Norman
johnlewis - 08-22-2008 7:48:43
There has been lots of discussion about having more public swimming venues on the Lake....what do you think?

As the administrator of LakeNorman.com, I get calls all the time about this, so there is interest.  Currently the only swimming allowed is at the State Park off exit 42....If there was one public swimming area on the southern part of the lake, it would probably address all of the need.  How about Ramsey Creek ParK in Cornelius?

What's the latest on public swimming on Lake Norman? Your right Ramsey creek would be great (home of Big Ways Radio summarine races (rafts, bath tubs, etc.)) (if your old enough to remember). This could be big revenue for meck co. (concessions etc.)
