Event Details Hot Weather Tips Date: 8/26/2009 Time: 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm Location: South Iredell Senior Center (View Map) Description: “When the heat is on” it’s time for everyone to take extra precautions to avoid heat related illnesses and even death. Numerous studies have proven that hot weather is more likely to affect older adults, 50 and above, more than younger ones. Join us for lunch and a discussion of basic guidelines to ensure you are not in a dangerous situation over the hot weather months. The program will be presented by Visiting Angels and co-sponsored by Freedom Mobility at South Iredell Senior Center on Wednesday, August 26 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Please contribute 50 cents per person and make reservations at the Senior Center 704-662-3337. Reservations and contributions should be made by Friday, August 21. Visiting Angels provides in-home care for seniors, serving the Lake Norman area.
