Event Details SISC Water Exercise Date: 10/9/2009 Time: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Location: South Iredell Senior Center (View Map) Description: SISC water aerobics, back, arthritis workouts, and water walking exercise classes are taught by certified instructors through Iredell County YMCA. Classes are approximately one hour long and open to all seniors age 60 or better with priority given to Iredell County residents. Information on guidelines and fees are available upon request. It is recommended that new participants observe their class of choice before registering. Private lessons are available for the disabled, visually or physically impaired. The Wellness staff at Iredell Health System will be administering seasonal flu vaccinations as well as providing information regarding the flu and what to expect during the upcoming season. No appointment is necessary, however, the flu vaccine can only be given to adults 18 years and older during the clinic. Cost for the vaccination is $25.00. Medicare and Medicaid will be filed onsite. Although the program targets women who have a high risk of breast cancer in an effort to enhance their awareness and increase their education; all senior adults are invited. All proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks. There will be a buffet style dinner, dancing, door prizes, a live auction, and a wonderful guest speaker. Items have been donated from local stores & restaurants, as well as the Panthers, the Checkers, NASCAR teams, Perrys at Southpark, Rays Splash Planet, Northcross Bowling, Skybrook Golf Club, and many more.
