Perhaps you can benefit from Power Tools for Caregivers, an educational program designed to provide you with the tools you need to take care of yourself. As part of the class you will learn to reduce stress, improve self confidence, better communicate your feelings, balance your life, increase your ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources. Subjects covered will include: dealing with frustration, fatigue and pain, exercising for improving strength, flexibility and endurance, appropriate use of medications, how to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, nutrition and how to evaluate treatments. The Wellness staff at Iredell Health System will be administering seasonal flu vaccinations as well as providing information regarding the flu and what to expect during the upcoming season.
