This program is specifically being targeted to African Americans because they are 1.5 times more likely to die from heart disease and 1.8 times more likely to have a fatal stroke than white. Representatives of the American Heart and Stroke Association will be on hand to make you aware of the risk and indicators of a stroke, and to tell you what you can do to prevent a stroke or reduce the likelihood of having a stroke.
